This collection marks my first exploration of Indigenous American life and traditions, capturing the essence of their rich heritage and enduring presence. Despite being from different parts of the world, the Indigenous peoples of America and Afghanistan share similar experiences of resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity.
From the break of dawn to the culmination of their gatherings, I have witnessed a profound sense of community, tradition, and resilience that resonates deeply with my own cultural experiences.
Each photograph in this exhibition tells a story of identity, tradition, and continuity. The intricate process of preparing for these gatherings—creating and donning traditional attire, engaging in ceremonial dances, and upholding ancestral customs—reveals the dedication of Indigenous people to preserve their heritage. These images reflect not just the aesthetic beauty of their costumes and rituals, but also the deeper narrative of healing, unity, and cultural pride.
This exhibition is a tribute to the Indigenous American spirit, showcasing how they honor their past while forging a path for future generations.

One wrong decision can destroy an entire country! The 44 years of continuous war in Afghanistan didn't just devastate our nation; it stripped away our identity, our rich culture, and our 5000 years of history. It stole our peace, our childhoods, our joy, and our loved ones, robbing us of our past, present, and future. Ultimately, it left us mentally and physically scarred.
